This collection of stem cells was harvested for future autologous transplantation using apheresis. In order to collect stem cells from the blood stream, a patient must undergo special preparation. A regimen of Granulocyte-Colony Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) is used to induce rapid growth of stem cells in the bone marrow, causing many cells to spill into peripheral circulation.

Are their any evidence based peer reviewed stem cell treatments?
I see a lot of stem cell clinics offerring various treatments from 5000- 8000 us $. Of course not covered by insurance. Most of the treatments are for chronic medical problems. These clinics promise miracles. Too good to be true?

Another scam to make a quick buck? Of course big pharma, NIH, CDC, organised medicine will not let their gravy train be cartwheeled by STEM cell
