So I have a plan for my 2nd year studying and I just wanted to get any additional advice that SDN has to offer. I'm an average student that has struggled in a few classes compared to other students (Biochem and Micro). This year I really want to pick things up and nail the material and here is what I am thinking:

During MS2: FA 2011 + Pathoma + Comquest
Dedicated study: FA 2013 (buy new copy once it comes out to annotate with Uworld) + UWorld

I know a lot of people say if you are going to do a Qbank do Kaplan or USMLErx, but since I"m a DO I thought I would do Comquest which should serve the same purpose. I know a lot of you may not be familiar with Comquest so I think it may be directed more towards DO students, but should I do Comquest during the year, or just stick to Kaplan/rx? Also should I include any other books? Like I said, from my first year I can say Biochem and Micro were my worst subjects so any advice would be appreciated.

Scratch COMBANK/COMQUEST. Don't buy a new copy of FA. Buy 2012 right now, download the errata, fix the mistakes, and use it from day 1 of MS2. Don't use it to study for classes; simply follow along in FA while in classes in order to familiarize yourself with the layout and pick up any stuff your school curriculum may leave out.

Use Goljan or Pathoma depending on which you like best.

Study as hard as you can during MS2, as nothing is as important as a solid foundation.

I did Kaplan starting in January of MS2. Would I do it again? Probably. Save UWorld for dedicated time for sure.

The above got me 250+ and 700+.
