Hey, so I'm an Osteo student, took the USMLE and COMLEX, did reasonably well (but not SDN good) on Step 1 (220, 520), but not great on Step 2 (205, 500). Not sure why I did so much worse on Step 2, but those are the scores I have and I'm moving forward with them. I'm applying to both MD and DO Family Med residencies, how will programs perceive the dip in scores? Will they care more about Step 1 than Step 2?

Your scores are great for Family Med, apply broadly. Be proud of yourself that you took 4 board exam!!! Kudos to you!

Hey, i'm also a DO student with not great board scores. Step 1 (209, 498) and Step 2 (204, 438). I have always struggled with standardized tests, disappointed with my scores but I guess I at least passed and never have to take them again. I'm applying for Internal Medicine. Looking at mostly DO programs, do you guys think I will be ok to match DO IM. I submitted my apps for 27 DO programs. Not sure if I should even apply to MD IM programs? Any thoughts, I just want to make sure I'll get at least 10-11 interviews and that would give me a solid rank list. What do you guys think?
