I really, really suck at image questions. Does anyone have an opinion on whether FA or RR Path has the best images to study? Or possibly another source?
probably look through the back of FA. and maybe look through goljan audio slides. i believe for the most part they're gonna be giving us "classic" presentations of diseases. so u dont have to go insane about it. i tend to over think questions when i see a picture and end up getting it wrong because i think theyre trying to trick me. if the question gives you enough info to solve it without picture then thats great but if not then take a step back and think about what concept they are trying to get at.
Both FA and RR have high yield images, and both contain images you will likely see on your exam. Many times you don't need the image to know the answer, but knowing what you are looking at certainly helps. I know I had a few micro images and derm images on my exam. The last question on my test was a picture of an old man's ass covered in mycosis fungoides. I thought it was a fitting end to the day.
