Future doctors,
Question for those of you who have taken the test- was the neuro part pertaining to neuro path (Alzheimers, Parkinsons etc.) or were there questions about pathways, lesions in different parts and their effects. I have one day to devote to neuro and the FA neuro is pretty long to swallow in one day. I am hoping to study RR path -neuro and skim over FA neuro. a better question may be what kind of questions were asked pertaining to neuro?

Thanks

There were definitely questions about brain lesions on my exam. If I were you, I'd spend more than one day on neuro. My test ended up being very neuro heavy. Also, the First Aid neuro section was rather weak, in my opinion (unless they've improved it from the 2006 version), so you might want to supplement with something else. Didn't use RR Pathology so I can't speak for it. Hope this helps!

agree with UCLAstudent, my exam also had a good deal of neuro, and not just the straightforward, FA stuff. neuro was thrown into my exam in many different ways: asking me about something neuro specific, incorporating a vignette around a neuro case, neuro lab values, etc. i responded well to these questions because i knew that i had taken the time to review it all properly. good luck!

I thought that FA neuro was rather insufficient for that subject.

All aspects of neuro were covered on my test - where is the lesion, imaging, histopathology, gross pathology, diagnose common diseases...
