Hello everyone. I am a rising MS2 in the process of planning out my Step 1 preparation for the upcoming year. Any comments/advice would be greatly appreciated! I would also love to hear if you guys have suggestions on any other books that you feel are better than the ones I have listed below.

I plan on using the following books:
First Aid for Step 1
BRS Physio
RR Path (supplemented w/ Goljan audio)
RR Micro & Immuno
RR Biochemistry
HY Behavioral Science
HY Neuroanatomy
HY Biostats
HY Embrology
USMLE Road Map: Gross Anatomy

The focus will be on the first 4 books on the list, with the rest serving as merely references for stuff I need clarification in FA.

For the question banks, I plan on getting the 9 month subscription to USMLERx and doing that along with FA during my second year coursework. I will then purchase the 6-month or 3-month (depending on how things go) USMLE World and focus on that during my dedicated study period.

Thanks!!

While keeping in mind everyone is different and has different strengths and weaknesses - I only used FA and RR Goljan in full. I think it's better to use BRS Physio as a reference book for tougher topics instead of spending too much time on it. I felt FA+UW was enough for Micro, Immuno, Embryo.

Fadem BRS Behavioral is worth checking out, not familiar with the HY version, but the BRS is pretty good.

I didn't start studying until January so my sched was a little different. I got UW 6 months and did my 1st pass with class material and 2nd pass during dedicated study period. UW can get dense and I definitely feel 2 passes were necessary for me. Unfamiliar with USMLERx so cant comment on its quality
