Step 1 plan

Hi guys,

I wanted to share my plan with others who are also studying for step 1 and with other experts in this forum who have already been through it. It would help me understand what others are doing differently than me. Here's my plan:

Starting this week: 12hrs/day

1- I will begin with Kaplan videos for 1 subject then
2- Do the first aid on that subject then
3- Do kaplan Qbank on that subject at the end of the day.

- My last topic would be Path:

4- Goljan Path

after I'm done with Kaplan and Goljan then:

5- DIT
6- Uworld
7-NBME

I plan to take the exam in 3-4 months.

What do you guys say?

sounds good. spread the nbmes out so that you can track your progress. That's what they are mostly good for since you can't learn much from them....no explanations.

how do you have 3-4 months to study for this? dont you have rotations?

I found it easier to go through FA using a systems based approach. Learn all the physio, pharm, and path for that one subject and move on. Everything is interconnected so understanding pharm will help you understand physio which will help you understand path / pathophys

Skip DIT, you won't need it more than likely...
