Hello!!

I know that some MD schools give their students about two months to really study for Step 1 (meaning they dont have classes scheduled during that time). So i am wondering if DO schools do the same for comlex step 1? If so, does anyone know the DO schools that give the most time to their students to prep for the test? Thank you!

My school gave us 1 month and access to a pretty crappy board prep course for free. It varies school to school. 6 weeks of hard core studying is all you need. I got in the 250s on the usmle step 1.

Same goes for my school, 1-1.5 months, a QBank, and a prep course (Kaplan)

Based on what I heard from schools, most medical schools, MD and DO, give you 1-2 months for studying for boards. Some are as low as 1 (I don't think any less) and I don't think any are more than 2. In many cases, you can even schedule the exam a little later, depending on the school/rotation schedule. I know some people that took their vacation rotation in the beginning of the year to have an extra few weeks studying for their boards.

About a month for my students, plus plenty of COMLEX-style test practice in our curriculum.
