Step 1 Score

Hey guys,

I have a question about the scoring of step 1. I just got my score back and got a 225/82. What I am confused about is the 82, that is not the percentile score right? Also, is it true that only 3 digit scores will be available to residency programs?

For all those that were wondering:
NBME 12 prior to DIT = 200
NBME 7 after DIT = 214
Uworld first pass = 66%
Uworld second pass = 82%
Uworld assessment = 232

I would have gotten into the 230's but I got destroyed by GI and I thought that was my strong area during my preparation lol. O well, you can't win them all.

I don't think the 2 digit score matters all that much. It's just another way for the nbme to assess us I suppose. Cardiology was my weak point in the exam; The second page on the exam report shows cardiology all the way to the left most of the others are on the right so i'm not sad...sort of.

I would have to disagree. I actually went through it really fast, almost 2 weeks and I think it really did help me to get into a good range for my score. If I had more time I would have done it again and probably hit the 230s easily.
