What score is need to get a interview for a anesthesiology residency?
Where?
If you google "Charting Outcomes in the Match" you will find that many people are matching into this field with below-average Step 1 scores. Although it is supposedly "getting more competitive" (and from what I hear, so is every other specialty 😕), there are 1000+ spots out there and the competition is not that fierce.
As for the most competitive programs, you will want an above-average score. At Stanford this year they said the average interviewee had a 237.
Holy sheeee!
I wonder what the average interviewee at Stanford for plastics had, hahah.
In all seriousness, where did you find that info? Is there a website listing Stanford specific USMLE averages?

Ahh... I wonder if they would give it out if we emailed. This sort of information seems very useful for gauging whether it's worthwhile applying to certain programs or not.The PD gave us the stats on interview day
