Many have said that the best way to study for the Step 2 is to study hard for the shelf exams --- with that in mind, what do you all think about this plan:

Use case files for all the clerkships and UW questions throughout the year.

What should be added? Substituted?

Just trying to keep it simple ... 🙂

Add step up to medicine. And just read alot, know alot about everything. Soak up as much info as possible during your third year.

That plan is golden. Everyone freaks out and thinks casefiles isn't enough, but it is enough for the 90th percentile.

thank you !

so if case files is 90% -- UW should fill in all the holes, right? 😕

also, thoughts on perhaps doing the kaplan Qbank throughout the year and as practice for the shelf exams -- and then saving UW for the end?

Can't tell you about Kaplan, but UW is great for medicine, ok for peds, psych, and obgyn, and bad for surgery. There just aren't very many questions other than medicine.

so if time was not an issue, do you all think doing both banks would be a good idea? one throughout the year perhaps?
