Step 2 before surgery?

Due to unforseen reasons,(eager to graduate), I will have to take Step 2 before my surgery core rotation. I'm a carib student...applying for IM or anesthesia...avg step 1...and therefore have to take Step 2 by Dec. 31st of this year. Do you think this is wise or should I take a year off and apply for 2005 match?

There is very little surgery on Step 2 - if you're worried about not doing well because of not having completed your rotation, I doubt it will make a significant difference in your score.

just study trauma and you'll do fine on surg step 2 questions.
