Step 2 CK and rank list deadline

So Jan 15 is when programs start submitting rank lists, and Feb 24 is the deadline. So will a dec 31st step 2 ck date be too late?

Not planning on even taking mine until Jan, so hopefully it's okay.
I've only read a few places that explicitly require it.
