Can we say BMP or CMP? I'm looking at this book and it seems to think CBC is fine, but when it comes to BMP or CMP we should type out each individual part?
The USMLE bulletin says something like they accept abbreviations that are common in the medical world and that a random physician would reasonably be expected to know. That being said, in First Aid, they never use BMP, but rather "electrolytes, BUN/Cr, glucose."
