Step 2 CS timing

Hey guys. Sorry if this is a repeat question, but is the step 2 cs exam really 8 hrs? I'm scheduled to start my test at 3 pm, but 3 to 11 seems like pretty weird timing. I guess I shouldn't be making any evening plans? Thanks!

It takes pretty close to 8 hours if everything goes smoothly. I wouldn't make any plans if I were you...except hitting up the bar afterwards.

We were told that it is possible for it to take longer than that if they are having computer problems...not sure how often (or if ever) that actually happens

I was done by 3:30 (7.5 hours). From what I have heard from others that have taken the exam and based on my own experience, it usually does not take more than 8 hrs. But it never hurts to give yourself a little bit of wiggle room.
