Step 2 CS timing

Due to scheduling issues, I'm am currently scheduled to take my exam in December. Will this be an issue come rank list time? Should I try for an earlier exam time? Do most programs require a pass in CS to rank?

Per the USMLE website the reporting period for December exams is 1/31/18 to 2/21/18, in addition they state that "It is expected that results for the vast majority of examinees who take the exam during the testing period will be reported on the first Wednesday of the Reporting Period". Is it reasonable to assume that I'll receive my score on 1/31?

I study soo hard for this exam. Over a year I spent buried in books. To not have enough time to write up my diagnosis, in one of my cases. I failed the exam and I have to retake it this summer.
