whew i have seeeeeearched the archives and i still can't quite gain a hard answer to this question:
what is the deadline for an fmg/img for step s cs/ck? does anyone know the strait scoop here and might be willing to shed some light? thanks!

I don't know if it's the straight scoop or not, but I noticed the other day on FRIEDA that there is a new line in the upper section of the program information about whether a passed Step 2 CS is required prior to residency. It's in the same section as when their deadlines are for applications.

This is true. Step 2 requirements are program specific, but the vast majority require that Step 2 be at least taken prior to the start of residency, with most requiring a passing score.

Before the ROL certification deadline passing scores must be onfile for IMGs.
Otherwise they are withdrawn from the match.
For US students, it depends on their school.
Some programs may want step 2 scores to rank candidates though this is not universal by any means.

If I am not mistaken, for IMGs, this is only for the CS. I do not believe that the CK has any impact on the match other than what your program requires....
