Step 2 Help!

Hey everyone - this is my first time on SDN. I am about to take Step 2 in a little over a week, and just can not do well on USMLE world questions. I am studying all the time and have been for almost 3 weeks and cannot get out of the 50th percentile. Now I didn't do spectacular one Step 1 but did pass. I really wanted to do great on 2, but I feel like at this rate I may not pass. Do you guys think I should move my test back or are there tips that you can give me. My biggest problem seems to be always picking the wrong one in a 50/50 choice.

Remember that you are learning from the questions you are doing, so even though you didn't do as well as you wanted, you have learned something from all the questions you have done. Think of world as a learning tool, not just a test of your knowledge. If you are scoring in the 50th percentile consistently I think you should pass!

What are you other study aids?

Remember nine times out of 10 you remember the questions you get wrong, rather than the questions you get right!

50% or 50 percentile???

theres a difference.

because if you're smack in the middle of everyone, it's safe to say you'll pass.

but if you're getting only 50% correct, you may be cutting it close.

Thanks for all the advice - Somehow my bad streak has turned around. I am now doing consistently much better on questions and feel better about the test!! I am going to keep it as scheduled. Good luck to you all who still have to take this thing.

any idea on what you might have done to turn that around for you? i'm kinda in the same boat and feel like i just need one more little click of improvement to get me over the edge into choosing better on those 50/50's
