So what's the deal with Step 2 exam setup? I've had 3 different people tell me three different things regarding timing of the exam, and USMLEWORLD tells something different too... 😕

46 Q's, 50 minutes per block
48 Q's, 1 hour per block (per nice lady who answers phone at USMLE)
50 Q's, 1 hour per block

Anyone actually take this and can tell me the real deal??

first of all, they only have 1 hour blocks.

it's 46 questions per block.

Does it matter that much?

the vignettes are very very long so move quickly.

50 minutes vs. 1 hour? Yeah, it matters by about 10 minutes.

fine time matters but 46 vs 48 questions is meaningless. i have never heard of anyone thinking it was 50 minute blocks. Anyways whatever.
