so I know this is sort of a weak topic for discussion....

but I'm trying to figure out when to take step 2 and how well I need to do.

My step 1 is a little above the mean, but I think the rest of my package is pretty solid. obviously I want to maximize my chances for top programs.

second, any idea how strong it would have to be and when I would need it by?

I'm seeing some websites that say they only interview or 'expect' 90th percentile.... is the entire '2-digit score' fiasco again... or do they really expect > 90th percentile? 🙁

again, sorry, for the lame question 😴.... maybe we could start an 'applying gs '09 misc.' thread for stuff like this so as not to clutter the board.

Why don't you take step 2 early and do as well as you can? That seems like a good idea.
