I'll be taking step 2 in 4 - 6 weeks and since I'm in the military it'll count as much as step 1 in my app. I pushed OB-gyn back to the november / december though, so I'll be studying for step 2 w/o having any OB-gyn knowledge whatsoever. How would people recommend I study for step 2 to fill in the gap? Should I use blue prints, lange, or something else for OB? Or will crush step 2, qbank, etc be sufficient even w/o a OB-gyn background?

hmmmm
ob/gyn intersects a lot of areas: peds, endo, surgery, ID, onc, etc
They seem to love vaginal bleeding questions, fertility, STD's....
Anyways, blueprints and lange case studies would be best

and 4-6 weeks for step2????
hopefully not all day and night studying? major overkill

Thanks for the info. And no, while I'll be taking step 2 in 4-6 weeks, that doesn't mean I have those weeks off! My score is important though, since I'm in the army, they count it as much as step 1.

Use books like Crush and if there is any topics that you dont quite get, then read in blueprints about it. Thats pretty much about it. Just as the above poster suggested, know vag bleeding, amenorrhea (sp?) and its types (causes), placenta previa, abruptio, how to read those monitors (early decel, late,) and what is means. I only remember the major stuff and I think thats the majority of it.

Of course, they always throw in the zebras. 😎
