While the NBME claimed to have mailed out the scores approximately 3 weeks after I took Step II (in early December 2001), it took me nearly three months and two phone calls to get my scores--they claimed to have mailed them twice. The second time I requested "replacement" scores from the NBME, I just paid my $10 and had them FedEx the scores.
Hmmm....guess I'm still pretty piqued.
Also--if the NBME thinks it's mailed the scores out, your medical school will have the three-digit and two-digit scores on file. You could find out how you did from them.
Anyhow, the only other thing you might wanna know is that if you request another copy of your scores (which is how the NBME processes the whole 'lost in the mail' thing) more than 90 days since you took the test, they will want $45 for the 'service.' <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> So don't wait too long!
