Hi I just started studying for the CK and I spent a few min on the usmle website to try to answer my q's on my own but couldn't find the answers. So here goes.
1)What's the format of the test, i.e. how many questions per block, how much time per block, how many blocks on the test, do you still only get a 1 hour break divided into whichever way you want.
2) Do you recommend skipping the tutorial section? I skipped it for step1 and didn't have any issues.
3) Is the software the same as for step1? I took it before the multimedia q's appeared on step1 but I am computer literate and can figure out which buttons to push.
4) in general are the questions longer than in step1, did you find it harder to finish the sections on time?
5) Which NBME's (practice tests) are more difficult? I know that for step1 some NBME's were a joke and others were a little tougher, is that the case with the NBME's for step2 or are they all pretty much equal?
I am sorry if these questions have been answered multiple times before but I just don't have time to do a thorough search. And I am sorry if you think these questions are too basic, but I think it's nice to start with the basics, and the FAQ sticky is blank.
