Basically, title.

Insane that the average for Step 1 and Step 2CK scores now are approaching 240 after like 10 years of the average score being ~230. Just reinforces the hypercompetitive nature of medical school. Ended up doing > 7,000 unique questions, and only just scored over the average.

True, I meant average of Step 2 ((Step 2 + Step 1) / 2, basically).

The average S2 at my school is 245. this was before S1 pass/fail and PDs focusing in on S2. My guess is they will make S2 harder as the arms race continues and eventually go p/f like S1.

Yeah, according to M3s and admin at my school, P/F doesn't seem to have changed shelf exam scores noticeably at all, so my guess is that scores will keep going up on Step 2CK.

On my score report it said the average is now 247 on CK.

lmao according to this, a jump from 250 points to 260 points is a whopping 54th to 80th percentile. Insane.

No way Step 2 goes pass/fail. You’d lose any sort of standardization.
