Step 2CK in time for Program Rank Order Lists?

I'm taking the Step on Dec 31st, does anyone know if there is some sort of scheduled maintenance that occurs during this time which would delay test result reporting? I can't find such info on their website, all they say is : "Test results take 3-6wk to report, for most they take 4 wk".

--- Has anyone else taken their Step 1 or 2 exam around late Dec and can say when their test result was reported, or how many weeks it took? I wish they had this info on their website!

--- When is the last date by which programs can submit their rank order lists? I'm hoping that my test result will come out in time for this!!

--- Are test results reported only on certain days, like weds/thurs? I can't remember when mine came out for Step 1.

--- Are there certain days of the week when it is better to take the test? I'm grasping for straws here!

--- Anyone have any other info for me?

they only release the scores on wednesdays. i read something on here a few months ago that it takes at least 3-4 wednesdays after your exam to process your test score.... so i took my test on a tuesday, to get it in just before a wednesday. regardless i got my score 3 weeks later, exactly 22 days later.

Programs start ending rank order lists on Jan. 15th. The last date to finish rank order lists is Feb. 27th. So, you should be fine.

Actually, I just checked with some programs and the date at which they submit their rank order list varies, some programs just plain like to get it done early, and others have to get it done early because the program director has to leave for various conferences etc... There are at least 2 programs that told me they will finish ranking in Jan 🙁 and they told me my test results won't make it 🙁

But most will be ok with it. 😳
