I just found out I passed Step 3, but my score was a bit lower than my Step 1 and Step 2. Will this impact my ability to get a great fellowship? I'd either like to stay at my institution (top program) or consider other fantastic critical care or cardiac fellowships - not sure which at this point. Hoping that I didn't kill my chances or landing a competitive match by scoring lower than my Step 1 and 2 on Step 3. It's still a respectable score, but just lower.
Anyone have any insight if this will hurt me? I am only an intern, so I haven't taken any ITE exams yet, but I heard those are more important?
Needless to say - bottom line - I am thrilled I passed. I realize nearly everyone does, but I didn't feel great about that test since intern year doesn't leave a lot of time to study. I just hope I didn't kill my chances for a great fellowship.
