All the MS3's and some MS4's are selling their books now that its the semi-beginning of the year. In order to get cheap books I'd like to take advantage of some of the deals, but I'm interested in hearing from some of you who've taken Step I as to what books you think were worth it and what weren't. In addition to a basic outline book like First Aid or Med Essentials, how many subjects do students need to actually purchase a review book for? For instance I've heard some say that FA has everything you need to know about the drugs, but then I've heard others say that BRS Pharm cards are a must. I've heard some people say that the only thing they bought beyond FA and a Qbank was Gouljan rapid review path, then I see students e-mailing my class selling a "high-yield" book for almost every subject we've been taught. Obviously time is of the essence when studying for Step I, so I can't read/memorize every review book... Which ones worked out best for people? I'm especially interested in hearing from those of you who did well/very well on the boards; and also from any of you who performed average to slightly above average in your classes but turned around and got a great score on Step I
