Hi. I am a spanish med student. I want to do a rotation (in internal medicine or UCI) before graduation to up my chances to get a IM residency in the US.

Do I have to pass step I to be ellegible?

I had planned to take USMLE step II ck to "warm up" and do really good on step I, since it seems to be the most important requisite...

Any advice is very welcome... I'm a bit clueless right now 😕

Thanks for reading

Some rotations will want to see proof of passing Step I. Others may not. You just have to ask the programs you're interested in what their requirements are. Often, the ones who don't require you to be in final year at the time of requesting the rotation will not require you to have proof of passing step I.

Thanks very much 🙂

I think it's time for me to start the ultimate search for programs!
