I'ts been said that if your Step I score is high enough, that you can wait to take Step II - what did you all do?

How many have taken Step II??
How many are waiting to take it??

Do you think that it works against you if you wait to take it?

I think it depends on your other accomplishments. I, for example, am trying to ride academic performance to a residency invitation. My step II score is the one thing that sets me apart so I am glad I took it. But I know other people for whom board scores is just one aspect of a diversely fruitful career and so it seems less important for them. I improved 27 points on step II.

i took it, because on the websites of some programs, they list step 2 as a point of consideration

dunno how up to date those reqs are, but wanted to play it safe!

I'm not scheduled to take it until dec 17... 😡
