Step I Step II released Items?

Can anyone help me in locating the released items for step 2? I believe I saw some questions on the NBME site, but they were something like $42. I've heard there is a smaller free set of released items. If anyone could help direct me to the released items, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance. Doh, I think I may have just found it. Let's see

In case you didn't -usmle.org. The answers are free on the Kaplan website. Beware - they are easier than the real test.

Thanks, I did manage to find them. They did seem a little easier. Did a hair better than on QBank. Do you think the real deal was actually harder, or was it more of a the "pressure" factor? Just curious. Thanks

I thought the real test was harder. The questions were more complicated and more in depth than the released questions in my opinion.

For any of you who are planning on taking the sample questions, here's a warning from the NBME site which begs the question of why take it at all:

"The materials presented on the self-assessments are owned and copyrighted by the NBME. Any unauthorized reproduction of these materials, by any means, including but not limited to, storage in a retrieval system, transmission, printing, memorization, or distribution is strictly prohibited."


That's right, do not even MEMORIZE the questions. Take some Versed before the practice test so that you have no recall of it whatsoever, do what you have to, you can't hide from the NBME...
