In the "Catabolite repressor operon" section it says "inducer is bound to repressor so DNA transcription cannot continue." In the environment of high glucose described, the inducer bound to the repressor would not be bound to DNA and that would ALLOW transcription to occur, but the high glucose decreases cAMP which decreases the amount of transcription occurring.

HOX and PAX, I have no clue. All I kind of remember is that HOX genes had something to with segmentation in embryology. I think.
 
Under key relationships of statistical variables

example: A FBS <125 mg/dL is used to diagnose diabetes. It should be >125 mg/dL.
