Looks like they struck a deal. Brian Jenkins desperately needed an update of SUS2 for the success of DIT.

yeah now he can also avoid copyright issues since he's the author..he basically reads off SUS2

wonder how he gets away with copyright issues with first aid..he also literally reads off first aid and then adds a few tidbits here and there but not much..wonder if he has a deal with them also..

That's interesting because I had heard that they got in trouble by First Aid's publisher McGraw-Hill. Maybe he struck a deal with Step Up publishers so that he can "author" it and read it without getting trouble. The website says they will be using Step Up For Step 1 in 2013 instead of First Aid! Im interested to see how that turns out or if they're just going to move First Aid material into Step Up.

Anyone get the new edition of SUS2? Do you see much of a change in content? I currently have the 2nd edition and am trying to decide if it's worth selling to get the new edition or not.

I bought the new third edition.

It seems to be a direct copy of the second edition but in color. Can't see any major changes. At a glance using the errata found here, they seemed to have fixed errata from the old edition.

I think its organized better. Dr. Jenkins mentions the haphazard arrangement of charts and tables in DIT 2011 (2nd ed) whereas I can follow along in the 3rd ed without flipping around.

does anyone have any opinion about this book vs the IM portion of MTB2? I won't be doing DIT or anything. I'll just be reading one of these books. I see a lot of classmates carrying this book around, so I was just curious.
