Been 3 years since I did science, am about to finish med school in England. Wondered how many months I need in order to score 220+ in usmle conisidering I've forgotten all my science. Just to clarify I will have 7 months off to learn with no other work. Would be grateful for any post and I realise opinions are subjective as people differ in how fast they can learn.

How many months of pure work (no other distractions) are required to score 230+ on usmle if one has not done any science for a couple of years?

I think 7 months should be enough to get more than 220. start with a diag, may be kaplan or something. assess your weaknesses and make a reasonable schedule. </= 2 wks per subject?
I would do NBME midway through the review and at the end. do tons of questions. Uworld is superior to Qbank but Q bank is not bad either. By far, NBME has been the most reliable predictor for most people including myself.

🙂group study isn't for everyone and if you have never done it give it a try . It's important to hook up with someone how has the same endurance span as you or as close to you as possible. I was studying with a guy who took 2 naps in a 10hour study day - but when we hit the books or did questions he was really driven. It's really been a good motivator for me ( good luck , stay sane !😀
