I am IMG and I am thinking about taking Kaplan's step 2 ck liveprep.Anyone took it before? Is it better than self study from kaplan's notes?? If somebody could help me on this I would really appreciate it.

What i would say is, u dont need to take a kaplan course, self study is good enough, do a lot of questions, and GOOD LUCK.
