Hey!
Can someone please write every single step needed to take NBDE part1 in correct order?
So many things to register and apply but have really no control of it.
What I did first was to get ECE evaluation couple of months ago. But yesterday I read on ada.org that you must have a DENTPIN prior to submitting an ECE report. Does that mean I cant use my existing 2month old ECE report?

What else do I need to apply for the nbde exam part 1 as an international dentist??
Can I schedule now and take within 6months right?!
Can you answer all the questions plz?
Thank you sooo much in advance!

I don’t have all the answers, can tell you what I know
You do the ECE one time. If you get your dentpin later, call ece and ask how to attach your dentpin to your file to ensure accuracy of reporting later
Then you need to send the report to ada in order for them to make a decision if your education is good enough to allow you to take the NBDE exam. Something might have changed, I took my exams a long time ago, but the procedure is pretty much the same-you need permission to take the exam. Once you got it, you can register for it. I think you have to take it within 3 months, but can reschedule. You would have to check with exam bylaws

I have one more question. When you get into Advanced program for international dentist, do you have to take many small exams as a regular dental student?

Yes. Many.
Every subject has a middle term exam and a final. Cant give you the exact number, but it's a lot
Don't forget the NBDE part 2 and TOEFL

Yeah Im preparing Toefl and so stressed out How long did you prepare for TOEFL? Im doing Official quide currently.
I was going to apply first for schools which doesnt require NBDE part 2..
How long did you prepare for part 2?
Thank you for answer. Really appreciate.

Stressing out is not going to help. You need to accept the fact that this process might take some time, especially if you come from a country with a lot of candidates.
If you already figured out how you are going to pay for the education and have a steady income to finance the application process, then you can concentrate on exams. In regards to TOEFL. I learned English since I was a child, so I had little problems with it. If you are having hard times passing TOEFL for over a 100, then you need to attend some courses and learn the language seriously, otherwise you will have trouble during interviews and later during IDP. I would practice speaking and attend accent reduction courses anyway
Average prep for the part 2 is 2-4 months.

In which country did you graduate? When and where did you enter Advanced program? Was it easier since it was repeatation of what you already learned?
I graduated in Norway last year. Dont think that many are interested in moving to usa from here but you never know.
I have Skype-tutor for Toefl.
Were you already in the states when u were preparing for these exams to get into the program?
Im not sure about visa. I have to get acceptance from a school to be able to apply for visa? Which order do I have to do? Is acceptance first or visa?
Thank you for your time
