i was wondering, would driving a standard car count as actual hand-eye coordination. what if the applicant was a race car driver and pretty much has to do it very quickly?

This takes little coordination and would not help your app if mentioned. It's a common skill. Mention activities involving fine movements maybe, but not shifting gears...

Ya. Its not really had eye coordination considering you only use one hand, and the shifter can only move in a certain path. It is already blocked out for you with a template.
Now if you can paint a picture while driving without looking then that would be great hand eye coordination and perceptible ability.

your car must be really slow if you have to shift that fast to get moving......lol, no matter how fast I shift, I still hit 10's....🙂

Well, to answer your question, I put down fishing to help with manual dexterity. So if you think that driving helps, go ahead and include it.

Now wait a minute.....it depends on what kind of race car we are talking about. If you are driving a high end 1/4 or road course car then it may be worth mentioning. I think what a lot of people dont know on here that it takes a lot more finesse and skill to drive a built 9-10 second 6 speed or some sort of competetive road course car than it does to drive their 1995 honda civic 5 speed.
