So I've been studying Physiology for the past week and I'm getting average 35% on qbank. So I'm wondering should I review Physiology again or move on to Pathology? Do you think I would be able to master path while my Physiology score is so weak?

This may not be what you are looking for because I haven't taken the step 1 yet but in general, it is very hard to study pathology (especially pathophysiology) if you have weak physiology background (at least from my experience with USMLERx, most questions seem related to pathophysiology, rather than pure pathology).

How far away from Step 1 are you? Are you reading BRS Physio? You can probably get through that book and questions in a few days.

Well I've tried reading it but I must say I haven't gained much from it. I read the chapter and I feel like I understand everything and then when I do the questions at the end of the chapter I get less than half of them correct. I'm not really sure how to explain it. I feel like it's not very good if you have a weak knowledge base or maybe I'm not using it correctly.

No, BRS is not very good if you don't have a decent background. Are you saying you are scoring 35% on just physio questions? When are you taking your boards?

I'm an IMG graduate so I can take them whenever I want. I'm thinking of either reading costanzo or kaplan. I'm leaning towards kaplan since costanzo seems to be too much.

I actually took Physiology several years back and did ok. But it's been so long that I've forgotten a lot of it!

You should be able to read BRS Physio in like 3 days doing 2 chapters a day. After that, start doing qbank questions.
