Looking for some advice. My top choice is a program in a different city. My home program is my second choice. I know that the PD's at my home program have a good relationship with the PD at my top choice. How can I (if at all) ask my school's PD to put in a good word for me without it looking like a slap in the face
to them (who I'm told will be ranking me to match).
 
I don't think it's worth it. Too much potential for strange unforeseen consequences. Just rank and :xf:.

Presumably these people have already written you letters of rec and stuff....if you are some great student they would have included such things in those letters.
