I feel as if I am the only one who is still waiting to hear back from schools. I know it could be awhile, but waiting is a blow. Let me know if anyone else hasn't heard anything yet too.

Your MCAT is on the low end, but your gpa is good. How long has it been since you submitted. Hang in there!

So, I realize that my MCAT is on the low end, and that I'll most likely be waiting for a long time to hear from any of the schools, but I have what I feel as great ecs and lors. I have been working as a CNA for almost three years now, been president and just about every other position for a prehealth committee, part of the rowing club, various volunteering positions, shadowing DOs and MDs.

Then also while in school I left for four weeks to be with my family while my mother battled cancer. When she passed away I returned to school and had my best semester every with almost all As but just one B. So I would think that by being able to over come adversity as I have and with my ecs and lors i might not have to wait for months on end, but with my MCAT i realize its most likely going to happen.

I have been complete now for three weeks.

My stats are almost identical to yours and I have been recieving interview invites. Hang in there! 🙂

I know the waiting really sucks, but three weeks is really not very long. Hang in there. Hopefully you'll get some invites.

What was your MCAT? Mine is not great. The schools will definitely look at your ECs. Did you apply to DCOM? They didn't say anything about my GPA and only minimal but positive comments on my MCAT. They LOVED my ECs! I am sure there are a lot of schools like that. I am sorry about your mother, but that definitely demonstrates your ability to overcome adversity! Make sure you comment on that in an interview. Don't dwell on it, just make a comment to point our your strength. Good luck! I am sure everything will work out for you.

Just sent in my DCOM secondary and they should have it by Friday. So then I'll finally be complete there. Hoepfully within a few weeks I will hear something, but the waiting continues

I've been waiting for Midwestern IL for a couple of weeks now and it's still under review. How long did everyone else wait for?

Who visited the school and what did you think of it?

I have been waiting since I turned in my primary in June. It does suck waiting, but I know that since I am not very competitive on MCAT and GPA I will probably be one of those people with an interview in April and get excepted in May. It just sucks not knowing where you will live or what you will be doing next year. I hate not being able to plan my life long term right now because of this.

I'm in the same boat as you, but that makes me wonder. What happened to rolling admissions? Are individuals with lower MCAT scores typically accepted later in the cycle? Thanks in advance 🙂

not sure what your stats are, (did I miss something? 😛) but hang in there. If you don't get an interview, are you ready to make it happen the next application cycle? Do you know what is your weakness in your app? If it's GPA, register for spring semester to replace a few classes that you scored C's in with A's. ACCOMAS only takes the most recent score in calculating your GPA. You would be suprised how much of a difference this makes!
If it is your MCAT that is holding you back, a good score doesn't come easy, so make the effort, study/practice hard, and kick butt!

GOOD LUCK!
