Okay, so I'm working toward my PhD thesis @ stanford right now and, in my excitement to be applying to med school, bit off way more than I could chew and applied to 32 schools. That was in late August. Then I disappeared headfirst into troubleshooting experiments so I could graduate.

Fast forward two months....

I'm still stuck working on secondaries, some of them from 1.5+ months ago. I'm seriously freaking out at the thought that all the classes are filling up and I'm not gonna get in anywhere and and and and --

AAAUUUGHH.

Help? Words of encouragement? Oh and ... pleeeeease don't tell me "OMG IT'S SO LATE" -- I already know that >_<

Is there anyway you could sacrifice 1 day (like tomorrow) and devote it completely to secondaries?!? They really aren't that bad, and if you applied to that many schools, you should be able to recycle many answers. You just need to suck it up, sit down, write your heart out and submit - NOW! Yes, classes are filling up and you are just increasing your competition (granted, you'll have a PhD, so that's a lovely bonus), but still, GET ON IT! Do them all in one day and don't look back.

Schools interview well into the spring so you still have a chance. 🙂 Definitely sit down with the school spreadsheet and prioritize the schools you have the best chance at.

Then set aside the whole weekend and complete as many as you can. If you came down with a nasty cold, you'd have to do this, so just cancel everything you can this weekend (non-specifically if you like) and work steadily. Good luck! 🙂

If your stats are good do not worry about it you will get a seat. It may not be your first choice but at least it will be somewhere.:xf::xf:

Thanks for encouragement, all... I'm def gonna sit down and just crank out the last dozen or so this weekend >_< I did get one interview already, but it was really weird -- UMich gave me an interview before my secondary was even in. I seriously wonder if it was a mistake. *LOL*

My one consolation is that my dream school, UCSF, didn't give me a secondary til Oct 26th, and I sent it in the next day. LOL.
