Ahhhhhh, this question drives me crazy!! I can not solve..😕 😳 Please some one help me...

Question> Elemental analysis shows a certain compound is 64% by weight silver, 8% by weight nitrogen, and 28% by weight oxygen. What is the molecular formula of this compound?

A. AgNO2
B. AgNO3
C. AgNO4
D. Ag2NO
E. Ag2NO2

THANKS!! 🙂

you have to assume that you have 100grams of the compound. so you figure out that you have 0.593 moles of Ag, 0.571 moles of N and 1.75 moles of O. divide by the smallest moles and you get one Ag, one N and 3 O's. AgNO3 is what you got!!!

the numbers are kinda hard to calculate when you only have less than a min to answer.
