hey i live in long island and i go to stony brook for undergrade st.james stony brook , nesconset are very close to school . but the cheeper appartments u can find at selden which is like 15 or 10 mins drive to school. good luck to u stony brook dental school is an awsome schooooooooool mayby i see u around 😀 if u have any questions regarding the area ask me 🙂

Well.. I got my acceptance letter to Stony Brook a day or two ago... and it was my first choice school going into this... but after waiting for soooooo long to hear, I started making all of my preparations to attend UMDNJ...have the apartment, $2,000 worth of deposits,spoke to professors... etc etc etc..so I have decided to stay with UMDNJ...Hey Mike/Cory... tooo bad it took this long...would have loved to have been your classmate... but we will keep in touch.. and UMDNJ is only a bit away from SB.

I got a package from them yesterday. It's a bunch of forums to fill out. How's the apt serach going? Did any of you guys buy a laptop yet? I know it's a requirement, but they did not give any specs on it. I bought a dell yesterday (saved $750 with their coupon). Talk to you guys soon.

I'm sure you'll be good to go with the laptop. I think the only specified requirement we'll need is a wireless networking card (b/g). Not too sure though. I'm still looking for a place. I gotta get off of my lazy *** and start making some moves!

As for apt searching, I found a decent place from the SB off campus housing web page. I haven't looked at it in a while, but there should be plenty of places available. I remember everything being pretty expensive when I was looking, but good deals are out there somewhere. Good luck with your search!

I got the Inspiron 600M. It's fully loaded, i guess dell is coming out with some new laptops so they put these on sale. whatever it is, it was a really good deal. Take it easy guys. Looking foward to August.

I dropped by yesterday and told the lady I am applying for 2006 again, she seems happy with that and said, she will leave a note to my documents and show that.

Yeah, I got my "financial aid award" last week. You should be able to see if you've gotten it yet or not by logging into the Solar System via the sunysb.edu website, and clicking on "my financial aid" or something like that.
