If any current SB students could comment on this, that would be helpful. I heard that on weekends it tends to be a bit quiet, as many students leave campus/go back home.

The social life here is whatever you want to make of it. There are some people that stick to the books and some people that hit weekly happy hour... it all depends on you and how quickly and efficiently you can study. Just as in any school you'll have A LOT of work, and while some weekends you'll choose to stay in and study, here we don't discriminate against week days. We throw huge parties after exams, which sometimes fall on Mondays, Thursdays etc. Our parties are either at bars or people's houses (where you may even find yourself playing beer pong with your professor).

While our class size is really small, we often mix with other dental classes and also with the med students (who we are in class with). Personally I find it the perfect balance of having that "family feel" while still having exposure to a lot of people. It's definitely not NYC, but it's close enough that you can go out in the city if you want to mix it up, which a lot of students love about our school.

Social life was dead there as an undergrad friday - sunday. Can't really comment on whether or not the med school would be any different.
