Hi everyone, I was recently granted admission to Stony Brook but I've been set on Buffalo for awhile.. I was wondering if anyone had any input for both or either school? Any feedback or advice would be appreciated. Thanks! 🙂

Being a SB dental first year procrastinating my studies of physiology, I thought I could respond and give my two cents (YEY! I'm posting on SDN again! haha!).

Seeing as the costs of both schools are as equal as possible, that probably shouldn't influence your decision. Knowing probably as much about Buffalo as you do, I can still say with reasonable certainty that both will give you a "good" education, prepare you well for residency and boards, and have a good reputation. The answer of where you should decide to go seems simple enough then, and depends on basically one thing: location, location, location (okay, three things). Go to WHERE you'll be happy. Both schools will have their plusses and minuses in terms of the education and I think it is impossible and pointless to try to figure out which is "better."

I oversimplify the issue, I know, but I think what I said is true anyway. Congrats on your acceptances! Whichever you choose is a good choice, at least in terms of an education.
