Has anyone had trouble scheduling their interview for Stony Brook?

I got an e-mail last week, but whenever I call no one picks up the phone. I've left 3 messages and no one's got back to me. It's getting to be really aggrevating...

Same here. Got email last Thursday, tried calling several times since then but regardless of the time of day, I always get a stupendously long recording. Considering that I have to pay long distance charges to call, this may turn out to be my most expensive interview in terms of scheduling costs.... and its the only one instate.

Yeah, really...usually it takes 5 minutes to schedule the darn thing. I'm going to get a list of people who work there and just call down the list until someone answers the darn phone. It might not be the way to do it, but at least someone will listen to me... 🙄

Olivia emailed me today. Interview is set up based on the info I left in one of my messages but I still have to call her back to confirm ... here we go again.

What's the point of telling us to call and get an interview if it's just a voicemailbox? I've been calling for a wek and Olivia called me once to say that she was returning my call and to call her back. I did....and got the voicemail.

This entire system confuses me. Am I supposed to just say what days I have free and what days I don't...?

This entire proccess is frustrating me beyond reason. If I don't get anywhere soon, I'm going to start calling people's extensions until I get *someone*. 🙄

Finally got it set up. Called her at about 6:15pm yesterday and had to take a second to recover from the shock of hearing a human voice 🙂 . She promptly put me on hold TWICE but I was not about to hang up at that point. So after 15min I finally got to speak to her, hear all about how busy the phone lines have been, go over my file and set up my interview.
FINALLY woohooo.
