I interviewed at StonyBrook at the end of September, and haven't heard back from them yet. When I called to ask whether the committee had gone through my application yet, I was told that my interviewer had not presented yet. As it is almost two months since my interview, I am a bit perturbed. Is anyone else in this position?

I interviewed there in mid Sept and 6 weeks later was told that my interviewer had not yet presented my file to the committee. I got a reply by airborne express this past Saturday. I think they request that the letter be delivered on Saturday. So...sit tight...you'll hear from them soon. Good luck!

i interviewed in early sept. and got the same info. i'm still waiting and sb is one of my top choices.

yeah, hold tight. i think alot of the stony brook interviewers take their sweet time getting in their stuff to the admissions committee

the dean of admissions did say that there's no particular order in which they review files

I'm in the same boat- interviewed early october, and no word as of yet. And yes, SB is one of my top choices. Actually, I think it may be my top choice.

hey i interviewed there 10th of october and got that airex package exactly two weeks later, so it may just depend on your interviewer. mine seemed like a really great guy who was excited about the interview, so if you had someone busier or less enthusiastic its just takin longer... no worries.
