AMA is such a BS organization. Completely beholden to the government and insurance companies while it panders to every social hot-topic whim. All this while saying it represents doctors because they give free membership to students/residents.

The worst are the letters addressed to the "billing manager" to "renew" membership.
I had to call them to tell them to stop. They obliged but acted like they were doing me a favor.
I encourage them to continue the mailings just to drain their funds on postage.
it is true that, esp if left to the devices of politicians, they will invariably reduce reimbursement from interventional treatment downwards.
