I completed in one year a postbac program where I got all A+ or A grades. The school year had ended and I wanted to be able to apply early. I wanted to take Calculus, Statistics, and English I and II. So I went to Straighter Line, where they said that they guaranteed the ability to transfer to over 90+ colleges courses they took there. They also offered a letter grade, and their math classes were proctored. So I figured that I would be able to transfer my courses to one of the colleges I had attended (which was on the approved list). Needless to say, their claim proved to be a lie, and after having sunk several hundred dollars, I find out that this college (different from the one I am taking postbac at), won't accept them because I have already graduated. And StraighterLine is doing everything it can to back away from actually helping me, at this point refusing to even add a cover letter to explain the situation. A non-traditional college, which was the first one I attended, does this, so it is not unreasonable to expect their corporation to do so as well. I got all "A"s at StraighterLine. This is seriously delaying my application, and for no point if I can't include them.
So here is my question. They said that they have occasionally sent their StraighterLine transcript to the AMCAS. They don't know, however, whether the AMCAS accepted them. Would it be likely the AMCAS would accept these? And given that the tests for math were proctored and the papers for English run through anti-plagiarism software checks, etc, would it be likely that medical schools would accept these? I would like to point out that these courses could be accepted as college credit at 90+, and carry with them the ability, at the school I graduated from, to have the letter grade displayed next to them.
Most importantly, has anyone used StraighterLine and successfully got AMCAS to accept their transcript?
