I was wondering if someone could please explain to me the differences in the strengths of the different types of bonds such as hydrogen bonds, covalent bonds, ionic bonds, London Dispersion, Dipole-Dipole, etc. I have read in so many different places all different things. I always though H Bonds were the mac daddy but some places say this is a weak bond.

Please help! Thanks.

I think the strongest Bond is probably Daniel Craig, followed by Sean Connery.

See what I did there? OK, my understanding is the order goes ionic > covalent > ion dipole > h bond > dipole dipole > london dispersion

And whether h bond is weak is relative. Compared to other dispersion effects, h bond is much stronger, to the point of increasing boiling points by several degrees. But it's still weaker than the things before it on that list
