I've been through UWorld one full time, and about 80% through my second pass.
First time through UW was 45% (no pre-reading, etc... just jumped right into doing questions).
Second time through I'm sitting at about 78%. Going system-by-system on tutor mode.
I am also doing USMLE Rx. On my first pass through, also on tutor mode. I am doing system-by-system. I am doing decently, but can't remember my exact percentage. Like 65-70% I think? Then I am following that system with the same system in UWorld (which is part of why I think I'm doing so well this time through).
I'm on day 10 of DIT, which I feel like is helping me tie everything together nicely.
I'm probably going to get Kaplan. What will Kaplan add to my battery of bull**** that I am using?
My goal is ~240. I have one month to go before the step.
The only thing giving me pause is the numerous posts on here saying how Kaplan sucks, and people used it for a week and then dumped it in favor of World.
I love World, but I'm already almost through it twice, and I want to do something else to give me a break before I go back and do it again. I was planning to spend my last week to ten days before the step plowing through UWorld questions and reading my heavily-annotated FA (which is a freaking masterpiece of art if you ask me).
So my question here is: those of you who liked Kaplan, what did you like about it?
Even if it isn't as good as World, is it worth my time to give myself a different look before I go back to World? My question is a little different than most of these, because I'm not trying to choose between the qbanks. I am basically trying to decide whether I'd be better off doing Kaplan, or going through Rx a second time.
